Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar presented the budget for the financial year 2023-24.
The budget for FY 2023-24 has proposed to reduce the tax rate on credit card payments.
In order to encourage digital payment, the budget proposes to reduce the tax rate on credit card payments on restaurant services in the Federal Territory of Islamabad from 15% to 5%.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says that no new tax is being imposed this year and the government is trying to provide maximum relief to the people in the country.
During the budget speech in the National Assembly, Ishaq Dar said that our effort is to increase employment opportunities and facilitate business.
Ishaq Dar said that industries were encouraged to increase exports, which would increase foreign exchange reserves.
He also said that I have already explained most of the privileges in this regard.
