Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has said that the minimum pension of government employees is being increased from 10,000 to 12,000.
During the speech of the Federal Budget 2023-24, the Finance Minister said that the minimum wage in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) is being increased to 32 thousand rupees.
Ishaq Dar further said that EOBI pension is proposed to be increased from Rs 8500 to Rs 10 thousand.
He further said that the government will pay the loans of 10 lakh rupees to the widows of the debtors, while the deposit limit in National Saving Martyrs Account is being increased from 50 lakh rupees to 75 lakh rupees.
The finance minister also said that the deposit limit in welfare savings certificates is also being increased from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 75 lakh.
He said that due to the difficult decisions of the PDM coalition government, Pakistan was saved from default.
Ishaq Dar said that the government has fulfilled all the conditions of the ninth review of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the IMF is the top priority of the government.
