Karachi: Cyclone Bipar, which arose from the Arabian Sea, remained at a distance of 1160 km from Karachi.
According to the Meteorological Department, during the last 12 hours, the storm has been slowly moving towards the north and north-west, with very strong winds of 160 km per hour in and around the center of the storm.
According to the Cyclone Warning Center, due to favorable weather conditions and sea surface temperature of 32 degrees Celsius, the storm may intensify further.
Hurricane Beparjoy; Fishermen should avoid going to open sea, NDMA
Fearing the possible effects of Cyclone Beparjoy, the National Disaster Management Authority has issued instructions to fishermen to avoid going to the open sea.
According to the spokesperson of NDMA, instructions have been issued to the people living near the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan to be cautious while the fishermen should avoid fishing in the open sea during the fixed period.
According to the spokesperson of NDMA, during the last 24 hours, an increase in the number of cyclones in the southeast of the Arabian Sea has been observed.
He said that currently no coastal area of Pakistan is under any threat, in view of the said situation, the National Disaster Management Authority has issued an instruction to the concerned institutions to be on alert.
