Islamabad: Kashmir Solidarity Day is being celebrated across the world, including Pakistan, in this regard, ceremonies, rallies, meetings and processions will be held in different cities on public and private levels.
Like every year, a public holiday has been observed across the country regarding Kashmir Solidarity Day. All the civil and military leaders including the President, the Prime Minister have also issued their messages.
A chain of human hands was made on the Mangala bridge connecting Pakistan with Azad Kashmir and a minute’s silence was observed at 10 am by sounding the siren.
Rallies will also be held in different cities of the country by social and political organizations to highlight the issue of Kashmir. City-to-city rallies are being organized on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, including the four provincial capitals.
Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly will hold a special session today in which Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will also address the Kashmir Assembly.

The Prime Minister said that the people of Occupied Kashmir are tirelessly struggling for freedom from the Indian usurpation, the Kashmiri people have kept the torch of freedom burning with their sacrifices. I am sure that the dreams of Kashmiris will be fulfilled soon.
President Dr. Arif said that Pakistan supports the Kashmiri people in their legitimate and fair struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination. Great tribute to the sacrifices.
The President said that we celebrate this day to draw the attention of the international community to the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. Bipartisan referendum will be done in a democratic way.
