Two years have passed since the tragedy of the Pakistani family who were victims of terrorism in London, Ontario, Canada, hundreds of people have expressed their solidarity with the victim’s family.
The 20-year-old suspect Nathaniel Veltman ran over four members of a Pakistani family, Salman Afzal, his wife Madeeha Salman, daughter Yamuna and mother Talat Afzal, who were standing on the sidewalk with a pick-up truck.
In memory of this tragedy in London Ontario, hundreds of people gathered at the same place and expressed their solidarity with the loved ones of the victim’s family.
The event was attended by the city’s mayor, Josh Morgan, Canadian Representative for Ending Islamophobia, Amira Elghwabi, and senior officials.
In his statement, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the incident of terrorism and said that we will continue our work to end Islamophobia.
It should be remembered that the accused was arrested on the day of the incident and the formal trial against him is starting from September 5.
