Moscow and Kiev have made serious accusations against each other over the bombing of the dam in Ukraine, while Russia has announced to convene a meeting of the United Nations Security Council soon.
According to media reports, a hydropower station in Khakovskaya region of Ukraine occupied by Russia was targeted.
In the attack, the valves of the Kakhovka Dam were damaged, due to which the water has stood up to ten feet in three villages and 22,000 people have been forced to relocate.
Ukrainian President Zelensky has alleged that Russia has descended on the destruction of the environment, deliberately destroying the dam.
On the other hand, the Russian authorities say that why would they target the dams and flood their occupied areas, the aim of the Ukrainian attack was to deprive Crimea of water.
The Russian Defense Minister said that Ukraine targeted the dam to move the army to another place.
The British minister says that the root of the disaster is Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.
