Iran’s first locally made hypersonic ballistic missile ‘Fattah’ was launched.
According to Iranian media, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and commanders of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps also attended the launch of the hypersonic ballistic missile.
The report states that pictures of the missile named ‘Fattah’ were also published at the event.
Iran’s state media quoted Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Guards Aerospace Force, as saying that the Fattah hypersonic missile has a range of 1,400 kilometers and is capable of penetrating all types of defense shields.
Iran claims that hypersonic missiles can fly at least 5 times the speed of sound and at complex speeds that make them difficult to intercept.
Iranian media also say that Iran’s “Fattah Missile” can also target the modern anti-missile systems of America and Israel.
Despite American and European opposition, Iran says it will further develop its defensive missile program.
On the other hand, Western military analysts say that Iran sometimes exaggerates its missile capabilities.
It should be noted that last year Iran said that it has developed a hypersonic ballistic missile that can go in and out of the atmosphere.
