Rawalpindi;  Negotiations between the administration and the oil tanker owners who went on strike were successful

Islamabad: Negotiations between the oil tanker owners and the management, which went on strike for the restoration of Sahala Kahota Road, were successful, after which the strike was called off.

According to Express News, All Pakistan Oil Tankers Contractors Association had announced a strike against Sahala Kahota Road in Islamabad area due to rains for the last three days and said that the country including the twin cities from Sahala Oil Depot Supply of petroleum products to most areas will remain suspended.

The general secretary of the association Noman Butt said that the Sahala road has been damaged for the past several years, dozens of oil tankers leaving for supply from the Sahala oil depot have met with accidents, due to the recent rains, oil tankers have been running on the main highway. It has become difficult, the Islamabad administration has been informed several times but no action has been taken.

He had announced that according to the decision of the Oil Tankers Association, the strike will continue until the complete repair of the road, however, there have been negotiations between the Oil Tankers Association and the management, which have been successful.

The oil tanker owners ended their strike on the assurance of the administration to restore the road in three days. There are reports that the Islamabad administration immediately started the rehabilitation work on Sahala Road.
