Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s allegation of human rights violations in the country and suppressing the right to political protest is misleading.
In a statement issued on the social networking website Twitter, Shahbaz Sharif said that the purpose of the former prime minister’s statements on the situation after May 9 is to mislead the opinion makers abroad.
The Prime Minister says that the arrested accused will be dealt with according to the law and they will ensure that there is no violation of human rights.
He said that Pakistan is determined to respect the constitutional and international obligations of human rights.
Shahbaz Sharif says that Chairman PTI is spreading disinformation to people abroad through lies and fake news by giving interviews to foreign media.
He also says that wanting to set the context, what his party did on May 9 was a shameful attack on the state of Pakistan, no country can tolerate an attempt to destroy its image.
