The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has extended the interim bail of former federal minister Asad Umar till June 10.
Asad Umar appeared in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra, where the case of extension of interim bail in the case registered against him in Tarnool police station was heard.
Associate lawyer Sardar appeared in court on behalf of busy Asad Umar as Babar Awan was out of the country.
The associate prosecutor told the court that the mother of the prosecutor has passed away due to which he is on leave.
He requested that the hearing of the case against Asad Umar be postponed.
Talking to the associate prosecutor, Asad Umar said that you and I know nothing in this case, I am the only person who has statements regarding May 9 and 10.
The former federal minister said that the prosecution has no evidence against me.
While giving arguments, the lawyer Sardar Busy said that I want to complete the arguments today.
The court while giving remarks said that the prosecutor has not come yet, they set the next date.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till June 10 without proceeding.
