Former Indian singer Vani Jayaram was found dead at her residence in Chennai.
The police have registered a case of suspicious death and started investigation.
Vani Jairam’s body has been shifted to Kalpok Government Hospital for post-mortem.
Vani’s aunt while talking to the media said that when she rang the bell at 11:00 in the morning, the singer did not open the door.
The maid then informs Vani’s sister Uma who comes there and opens the door with the duplicate key.
Vani Jairam was found unconscious on the floor, with bruises on her forehead.

Vani Jairam made his name in the music world by singing ‘Gadi’ in 1971, he sang for 5 decades.
The singer sang more than 10,000 songs in 19 languages, she was awarded the National Film Award of India three times for best singing.
