Peshawar: Three people were arrested, including the former Deputy Speaker of Pakhtun Khawa Assembly Mahmood Jan.
According to the police, a case of murder and attempted murder has been registered against PTI’s former Deputy Speaker Mehmood Jan. They are having a property dispute with the local people, in which 3 people were killed on both sides and more than 8 were injured.
Later, the police produced PTI leader and former Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly Mehmood Jan, who was named in the case of murder and attempted murder, in the Judicial Magistrate’s Court, where the court handed over the accused to the police on a one-day physical remand.
Earlier, the police took a position in the court that the accused has been arrested on the charge of firing on the procession of Isa Khel Nation in the limits of Reggi police station. The accused was arrested after being granted interim bail by the local court of Dera Ismail Khan. Further investigation is required against the accused.
