London: The UK has decided to review the sex education curriculum in schools by a panel of experts.

According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, an expert panel has been set up to review sex education in UK schools, with updated guidance coming in September to ensure no disturbing or inappropriate material reaches pupils. .

The review comes amid concerns from teaching unions that children are being taught concepts they are too young or at an inappropriate age to understand.

Earlier, Conservative MP Mary Keats also claimed that children were being taught lessons about oral sex and how to prevent their partner from suffocating during the inappropriate images.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sonak announced in March that the sex education curriculum in schools will be reviewed.

However, more than 50 charities called the government’s move to revise the sex education curriculum a political decision.

“The welfare and safety of children is our top priority, and I share the concerns of parents and teachers about reports that inappropriate lessons are being taught in schools,” Education Secretary Gillian Keegan said.

On the other hand, the policy director of the National Association of Head Teachers said in March that it was important to remember that the current curriculum was subject to extensive consultation.
