Where former Punjab Chief Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was going at the time of his arrest, his driver told the police.
The driver gave a statement to the police and said that Parvez Elahi was escaping to Gilgit-Baltistan.
Police say that Pervaiz Elahi was leaving the house with a convoy of four vehicles, two of which were checked with children and women.
The car in which Parvez Elahi was riding was bulletproof, when the police stopped it for checking, the driver did not open the door.
The police say that the police got suspicious when the door was not opened and tried to break the glass of the car, Pervez Elahi himself got out and insisted on going to his car.
