Two thousand kg meat of dead animals was recovered in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: Citizens narrowly escaped eating the meat of dead animals, Punjab Food Authority destroyed two thousand kilograms of meat of dead animals in an operation on Garja Road.

According to DG Punjab Food Authority, this operation was conducted under the leadership of Additional Director Operation Rawalpindi Sabatin Kazmi. On receiving secret information, the vehicle supplying the meat of dead animals was caught red-handed.

After identifying the supplier and with the help of the police, the warehouse owner admitted to buying and selling dead meat. Unhealthy meat brought from Faisalabad was to be supplied in Bhabhara market. A case has been registered against the warehouse owner and the supplier in Dhamiyal police station.
