Another 200 fishermen arrested from Pakistan’s maritime boundaries will be released tomorrow (Thursday, June 1) at 6 pm from Karachi’s Malir District Jail Landhi.
According to Deputy Superintendent Jail Malir Muhammad Arshad, after the release of two hundred Indian fishermen in the past few days, the second batch of them is ready to go to their homeland.
200 Indian fishermen will be handed over to Edhi Foundation Pakistan after serving their sentences on humanitarian grounds.
On the special instructions of Edhi Foundation Managing Trustee Faisal Edhi, Edhi Foundation will pay for the travel and food arrangements of the fishermen from Karachi to Lahore.
As per earlier, the team of Edhi Foundation will transport the Indian fishermen from the jail to Cantt Station Karachi, from where the journey to Lahore will also be completed by Allama Iqbal Express under Edhi Foundation.
Fishermen will be taken to Wagah border by bus from Lahore railway station.
