Lahore: During the hearing of the senior journalist recovery case, it was revealed that numbers from Afghanistan were used in the case of Imran Riaz.
The trial was held in the Lahore High Court, where IG Punjab also reached the courtroom. The Chief Justice inquired why Imran Riaz is still a missing person. Has there been any report from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior? We did not say in our order that Imran Riaz is with the agencies. We have said to take help from the agencies. Who can find other than agencies?

During the hearing, the defense secretary’s representative told the court that no trace of Imran Riaz has been found yet. On this occasion, IG Punjab came to the rostrum and told the court that we have done geo-fencing, but no number could be located. On the direction of the court, Imran Riaz’s legal team and family met. We have also contacted the FIA.
IG Punjab revealed that some numbers were used by foreigners in this case. The numbers used are from Afghanistan and we do not have the ability to trace numbers from Afghanistan. I want to submit foreign number and its transcript to the chamber. If the court allows, I will submit the details. The court directed the IG Punjab to appear in the chambers at half past one.

The lawyer of Imran Riaz said in the court that all the other people are caught in 2 days but Imran Riaz is not recovered.
The Chief Justice remarked that it is easy to catch those who are here.
The lawyer replied that it means that IG Punjab has satisfied you that Imran Riaz has gone to Afghanistan.
The court adjourned the hearing till noon. Later, the hearing of the recovery case of journalist Imran Riaz resumed after a break in the Lahore High Court, in which the IG Punjab briefed the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court in the chamber, after which he left.
