NAB widened the scope of investigation against the alleged irregularities in Punjab government’s free flour scheme, the NAB team reached the office of Pakistan Flour Mills Association and questioned the officials.
According to Flour Mills sources, a three-member team of NAB stayed at the head office of Flour Mills Association for two hours and sought records and information about cheap flour.
The association informed the team about wheat procurement and flour milling process.
Earlier, the NAB team has investigated the food department, according to the sources, arrests of flour mill owners, dealers and bureaucracy are expected in a few days.
It should be noted that former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had expressed the fear of 24 billion in the flour scheme of 80 billion.
