Islamabad: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that the way the police have kept me, it is better to sentence me to death.
The police presented Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed in the Islamabad court and requested for another 5-day physical remand. In his statement on this occasion, Sheikh Rasheed said that 5 names have been given, they will be my killers. Giving the names of five persons, Sheikh Rasheed said that Nawaz Sharif, Mohsin Naqvi, Shahbaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Rana Sanaullah will be involved in my murder.
Sheikh Rasheed said that they took me somewhere at night, asked me why they are supporting Imran Khan, he will be disqualified. He said that I should be sent to the hospital, I should be bandaged, my hands and feet were tied. I should be given Rangers security, I should be sent to hospital, I have blood on my feet and hands.
The former federal interior minister said that I will not beg them, just get my bandages done. I was tied to chairs. He said that he curses for telling lies. My hands, feet and eyes were tied from 3 to 6 o’clock. On this occasion, Sheikh Rasheed’s handcuffs were opened on the order of the court.
Sheikh Rasheed said that the way the police kept me, it is better to sentence me to death. Sheikh Rasheed’s request for further physical remand by the police was opposed in the court, while the investigating officer said that Sheikh Rasheed had undergone 2 tests. Voice matching has also been done and the photographic test is yet to be done.
During the hearing, the judge spoke to Sheikh Rasheed and said, “Will you show me the blood?” There is no blood on your hand, on which Sheikh Rasheed said that the blood has been cleaned by me. On this occasion, Sheikh Rasheed’s lawyer, Sardar Abdul Razzaq, requested to discharge the case.
