Federal Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has said that everything has been done for the 9th review of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Addressing the function of FBR, Ishaq Dar said that we all know that the wheel of economy is moving very slowly at present, the coming days will be better.
He said that Pakistan’s default was continuously predicted for the last 3 months, internal and external critics are disappointed as to why Pakistan did not become Sri Lanka.
The finance minister further said that our hands are also tied due to the previous government’s IMF agreement.
He said that not getting accused is to take the country forward, he will try not to put more burden on the people.
Ishaq Dar also said that it is sad to see where Pakistan has reached. Pakistan was supposed to join the G20 by 2030.
He said that a politician makes statements daily that these prices were a year ago. The finance minister said that the coming days will be better in terms of the economy.
Ishaq Dar said that when Pakistan’s economy starts to improve, a tragedy happens, the country was damaged by the previous government’s breach of promise to the IMF.
He said that everything has been done for the 9th review of the IMF, sanctions were imposed even after the nuclear blasts, the IMF program was stopped, we had come out of the situation after the nuclear blasts.
