2528 people were arrested in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 9 incidents, report

Islamabad: The caretaker government of KP has prepared a report on the arson and encirclement of May 9-11, according to which 2528 people have been arrested in KP so far.

According to Express News, the caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has prepared a report on the protests of May 9, 10 and 11, which states that 2,528 suspects involved in the violent protests were arrested.

The report states that the accused have been identified through 575 videos and 2,723 photographs, 295 accused have been identified through NADRA, the accused who broke the main gate of Radio Pakistan and the statue of Colonel Sher Khan has been arrested.

According to the report, 90 police officers were injured during the violent protests, 84 FIRs have been registered against violent incidents in the province, 18 FIRs of terrorism have been registered.

The report states that 8,690 angry protesters protested at 10 locations on May 9 in Peshawar, 3,400 at 9 locations on May 10, and 2,910 at 6 locations on May 11. 2 employees were injured due to the fire, the election commission office was also vandalized.

According to the report, the attempt of the protesters to enter the red zone was thwarted by 250 policemen, the targets of the protesters were the Governor’s House, the Corps Commander’s House, the Assembly, the High Court and the IB headquarters.

Sources say that more arrests are likely after reviewing the report.
