Ukraine, which has been fighting a war for a year and a half, has imposed new sanctions on Iran for supporting Russia.
According to foreign media, Ukraine has imposed new sanctions on Iran for supporting Russia, which has been approved by the Kiev parliament. Kiev says that since the attack on Ukraine, Iran has been supplying Russia with weapons.
The sanctions imposed by Ukraine include the suspension of ‘financial and economic’ transactions with Iran, in addition to ‘military and dual-use goods’. The resolution needs President Zelensky’s signature to become final law, which is a formality since the bill was introduced by him.
In this regard, it has been stated on the website of the Parliament of Ukraine that the resolution of sanctions against Iran is in line with the actions of the civilized world that are leading Iran to a journey of complete isolation.
The move comes a day after Ukrainian officials said Russia had been using Iranian-made ‘Shahid drones’ against Kiev since the start of the attack.
In addition, Ukrainian President Zelensky also addressed the Iranian people directly last week and said, “Why do you want to be a partner of Russia’s terror?”
Zelinsky’s adviser Mykhailo Rudolayk also described the Iranian government as a terrorist government and said last Sunday that Kiev has been attacked by dozens of Iranian-made Shahid drones.
In this regard, he wrote on his Twitter account that Tehran has become a key partner of Russia in this war and is deliberately providing weapons used to target civilians.
On the other hand, in response, Tehran said that Zelenskiy is making such efforts to get financial and military support from the Western world.
