Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Irfan Qadir has said that the courts have created a political crisis in the country, in the past it was unconstitutional to hold the Prime Minister in contempt of court.
In his statement, he said that after the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, the Supreme Court declared that the disqualification will be for life.
Irfan Qadir said that there is no mention of lifelong disqualification in the constitution and law, after disqualification, Mian Nawaz Sharif was also declared disqualified for party presidency.
He said that it is not written anywhere in the constitution that only the Chief Justice has the authority to issue automatic notices.
Irfan Qadir further said that Hamza Shehbaz’s Punjab government also fell because of the Supreme Court’s decision.
