Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to restore the Chowkidari system in the rural areas of the province.
According to Express News, it has been decided to restore the Chowkidari system which was practiced in the past in the rural areas of Punjab.
In this regard, the Local Government Department has issued details and said that a watchman will be appointed for each village, whose monthly salary will be 20,000 rupees.
According to the Department of Municipalities, the salary of the watchmen will be paid from the amount received from the agricultural income tax.
