The District and Sessions Court Islamabad has extended the interim bail of former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser in the case of protesting against the arrest of Chairman PTI Imran Khan.
Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case.
Asad Qaiser’s lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat told the court that Asad Qaiser has joined the investigation, the court will see if the basis for seeking immunity is satisfactory or not.
The Additional Sessions Judge asked what was written in the exemption petition filed by you.
The lawyer replied that the Islamabad police are standing at the gates of the court, they are not allowed to come, you know how the current situation is going.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra said that nothing is written in the application, I do not know the situation.
Sanitation lawyer Sher Afzal said that another application will be given.
Asad Qaiser’s lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat filed an exemption application on new grounds.
The court accepted Asad Qaiser’s fresh immunity plea and extended his interim bail till June 5.
