Mumbai: Famous Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has been awarded the IIFA Award 2023 for her best performance in ‘Gangubai Kathiyawari’ but unfortunately due to a family emergency, she could not make it to the show to receive the award.
After receiving the award, the actress posted an emotional post on Instagram in which she shared the poster of her film ‘Gangubai Kathiyawari’ and wrote ‘Thank you IIFA, I am sorry that I could not be there to receive the award’.
He also thanked the fans for this award and wrote that this honor has given me and the entire team of the film new joy and happiness.
According to Indian media reports, Alia Bhatt could not attend the award show due to her maternal grandfather Narendra Razdan’s ill health and film producer Jayantilal received the award instead.
