Martyrs’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, the people along with the civil and military leadership paid tribute to the martyrs.
People from all walks of life participated in the Martyrs’ Day celebrations in their respective areas.
The main ceremony was held at the General Headquarters where Army Chief General Asim Munir offered flowers at the martyrs’ memorial and recited Fatiha.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif spent the day in Peshawar, visiting Radio Pakistan, which was hit by the May 9 atrocity.
Celebrations were also held at the Air Force and Naval Headquarters, paying homage to the police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country.
The Army Chief attended the ceremony of Civil Lines Islamabad.
A ceremony was also held at the Central Police Office in Karachi.
From Karachi to Khyber, from Gilgit to Gwadar, tributes were paid to the martyrs of Pakistan Army and Police in every corner of the country.
Rallies were also held in favor of the Pakistan Army in various cities, prayer events were held, attendance was given at the Martyrs’ Memorial, civil society also held a rally in Karachi.
