Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that his party has been put under the target of state oppression.
In his statement, he said that fascism started on May 25 last year.
The former prime minister said that during the Tehreek-e-Insaf government, PDM conducted 3 long marches, but the mountains of state oppression were broken on us. Houses were raided late at night, officials and workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf were abducted.
He further said that anyone who reached Islamabad was subjected to tear gas, rubber bullets and brutally crushed by the police.
Imran Khan said that some of us thought that this cruelty would be limited here, but it turned out to be only the beginning.
He said that Pakistan’s largest and only federal level political party has been severely targeted by state repression without fear of accountability. More than 10,000 activists and supporters, including senior leaders, have been jailed while some are being subjected to torture while in custody.
He further said that under the guise of the May 9 encroachment, which was condemned by the entire leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaf, the state is trying to break the party through ‘forced separations’ etc. The case is being prosecuted.
Imran Khan said that they should know that not Tehreek-e-Insaf but our democracy is being crushed by all this. Our freedom is being directly taken away from us. This attempt to enslave us will fail.
Chairman PTI said that today our youth population is very politically conscious.
