Nepra has rejected the federal government’s request for hike in electricity rates for K Electric.
The federal government had requested an increase of 3 rupees 50 paise per unit in the tariff of K-Electric as part of the adjustment.
NEPRA while issuing a decision on the application said that NEPRA has given decisions related to electricity prices in the context of quarterly adjustment, the current request regarding increase in electricity prices of the Federation is not appropriate, there are ambiguities in it.
