The head of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has said that wheat comes for 3 crore people in Karachi.
Addressing the conference on consensus on census, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that it was to be asked that when the population of Karachi is less, where does this wheat go?
He said that different political parties agree on the point that the population of Karachi was not counted correctly.
The MQM convener further said that no one should be counted less and no one should be counted more in the whole of Pakistan, the only demand of MQM is that the census should be correct.
Senior Deputy Convener Dr. Farooq Sattar said that in every census, the population of urban Sindh, including Karachi and Hyderabad, is undercounted.
Mustafa Kamal said that the population of Karachi has not been fully counted yet.
Addressing the conference, the experts said that the most important responsibility in a proper census is the provincial government, until the census is completed, the problems will not be resolved.
Experts further said that the census is not a political but a human problem, it should be solved.
