Bengali actress Sachandra Dasgupta died in a road accident while returning home from the Indian city of Panihoti.
In this regard, the Indian media report, citing eyewitnesses, said that the accident took place in Barangar on Saturday when the actress was riding a bike when the accident happened suddenly.
According to the report, when a bicycle came in front of the bike, the bike driver tried to apply the brakes suddenly, in the meantime, actress Suchandra Dasgupta, who was sitting on the back of the bike, fell on the road and died after being hit by a truck coming from behind.
According to the report, the Barangar police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control as the traffic was affected for some time after the accident.
The report states that the accident was so bad that the helmet the actress was wearing broke into pieces and she died on the spot. After this accident, the police has arrested the lorry driver.
It may be noted that the 29-year-old Sachandra Dasgupta was last seen in the Bengali TV serial ‘Gori Elu’.
