Inspector General (IG) Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited Inspector Iqbal Khan who was fighting the dacoits.
IG Punjab came to Mayo Hospital Lahore and inquired after the well being of Inspector Iqbal Khan of Mianwali under treatment and prayed for his speedy recovery.
According to Punjab Police spokesperson, Inspector Iqbal Khan was shifted to Mayo Hospital after the Caretaker Chief Minister’s visit to Mianwali.
According to the spokesperson, the IG directed the RPO Sargodha to provide immediate relief money to Inspector Iqbal.
Dr Usman Anwar on this occasion announced an additional assistance of Rs 1 million for the under-treated inspector and said that he would recommend the medal to the government.
According to the police spokesman, Inspector Iqbal was injured in the encounter with robbers in the hilly area of Mianwali, he was hit by 5 bullets.
