Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel recovered 20 kilos of ice heroin from the possession of a Qatar-bound passenger while conducting an operation at Lahore Airport.
According to the spokesperson of ASF, the passenger Mohammad Sharif arrived at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport to go to Qatar, and during the search of the luggage, the ASF staff found the passenger’s bag suspicious.
ASF personnel recovered 1.140 kg ice heroin from the bag.
The drug was cleverly hidden in the bottom of the bag, but the ASF personnel foiled the smuggling attempt by recovering the drug.
After initial investigation, the accused was handed over to ANF authorities for further legal action along with the recovered drugs.
