According to the administration, despite giving notice, commercial activities were going on by the political party in the ground. The spokesperson of PTI has termed the action as a revenge action by the Sindh government.
In Gulshan Iqbal, the district administration Sharqi, under the leadership of administrator Shakeel Ahmed, took action against the encroachment of the property and handed over the possession of the Imran Khan Cricket Ground to the district administration.
Administrator Zilla Sharqi Administrator Shakeel Ahmed said that the name of the ground, the board will be removed and the district administration board will be installed here. Commercial activities on behalf of the political party were going on in the ground for two years. Despite the notice, the park was not vacated, while there are clear orders of the Supreme Court to restore the parks to their original condition, that’s why the operation was conducted. He said that the plaque of Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA Alamgir Khan was also displayed in the ground.
