Russia’s paramilitary Wagner Group has claimed control of the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut.
The head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Progen, said that today, May 20, the city of Bakhmut has been fully captured.
He said that the control of Bakhmut will be handed over to the Russian forces soon.
He said that the Wagner group troops will start their return from Bakhmut from May 25.
According to the news agency, Ukraine rejected the claim of Russia’s Wagner Group.
Ukrainian officials say that fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces continues in the city of Bakhmut.
