Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan reacted to the audio leak commission.
In a statement on the social media website, Imran Khan said that many things were deliberately left out in the regulations of the Audio Leak Inquiry Commission.
He said that this point was not kept in the inquiry commission as to who is involved in the unconstitutional spying of the PM’s office. It was not even asked who is involved in the unconstitutional spying of the present judges.
Imran Khan further said that the inquiry commission should be authorized to investigate which powerful elements are recording the telephones of citizens including leading public officials.
Chairman PTI said that recording the telephones of citizens, including leading public officials, is a serious violation of the right to privacy under Article 14 of the Constitution.
He said that those who leaked the illegally obtained data through phone call tampering, phone tapping should also be held responsible.
Imran Khan said that who are they who are above the law and beyond the command of the Prime Minister, who are they who have immunity and are spying illegally.
He said that the Audio Inquiry Commission should identify such elements, in law-abiding democracies the state should not interfere in certain aspects of life.
