The Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent economic recession gripped the world so much that people forgot to smile, and one country needed experts to teach its citizens how to smile.
People in Japan are hiring smile specialists to learn how to smile again.
According to local media reports, some people have admitted that they have forgotten to smile naturally after hiding their faces behind masks for 3 years due to the pandemic.
Because of this they now need smile tutors to relearn the art of smiling.
A smile teaching expert said that due to the use of face masks becoming a norm, people had less opportunities to smile, now many people are facing problems.
She said that keeping facial muscles active and relaxed is the key to a good smile, I want people to make smiling a part of life to improve their physical and mental health.
People are provided with mirrors during training so they can check their smile progress by looking at their own reflection.
A 79-year-old female trainee said she is excited to return to her pre-Covid-19 life and is getting some help from smile trainers.
This type of training is more popular among women.
Smile Expert says that during the last 6 months, more than 4,000 people have been trained in smile while they have helped many people in obtaining the certificate of Smile Expert.
