Jewelery worth lakhs of rupees was stolen from Arpita Khan, sister of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan aka Sallu Bhai.
According to Indian media reports, an employee working at Arpita Khan’s home in Mumbai stole gold jewelery (jhumkas) studded with diamonds worth around 5 lakhs.
According to media reports, this incident of theft took place on Monday morning this week.
On the other hand, the police have arrested the accused on Arpita Khan’s complaint.
According to the Mumbai Police, the accused Sandeep Hegde fled after stealing jewelery worth around Rs 5 lakh.
A complaint was filed on behalf of Arpita Khan, on which the police took action and arrested the accused with the help of CCTV footage.
A case has been registered against the accused under Section 381 of the Indian Penal Code and further investigation has been started, while the stolen jewelery has not been recovered yet.
It should be noted that Arpita Khan is not Salman Khan’s real sister but Salman’s father Salim Khan adopted her.
