Siddharth Anand, the director of Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’, has expressed his opinion on the comparison of the film with Hollywood films.
Speaking to Gulf News, Siddharth Anand said that it cannot be ignored that whenever you make a film that is unconventional, it automatically gets compared to Hollywood films.
He said that the technology, infrastructure and budget used to make Hollywood films is of better quality, it is always thought that we try to imitate Hollywood, but we have very limited resources. There are sources.
He said that we also have some ambitions and our directors also have the ability to make films, but we have limited access to resources as our films are made in only one language which is Hindi.
He added that the business of our films depends on the budget that we use to make a film according to our status.
Siddharth Anand revealed that I have to admit today that I am not a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, so I have hardly watched only a few of the production company’s movies.
“My son is such a fan of these movies that he is a walking encyclopedia of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. He looks at my scripts and my sequences for them and tells me that you can’t do that in your own movie,” he said. Because it has already happened in a movie.
He further said that sometimes I get worried after listening to my son’s words that what can I do in my film in the end. What should I do to make my film unique from previous films?
