Russia claimed to have destroyed the US air defense system in the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Patriot air defense system was destroyed in a hypersonic Kunzhal missile attack.
Russian officials say the Russian military conducted highly accurate naval and air strikes on Ukrainian units and ammunition storage sites and hit the desired targets.
Earlier, Ukraine said it had shot down 18 missiles fired by Russia last night, including six Kunzhal missiles.
