Thousands of people thronged theaters in Bangladesh to watch Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’, the first Indian film to be released in the country after more than 50 years.
After the fall of Dhaka in 1971, foreign films were banned to protect the local entertainment industry.
Now recently the government of Sheikh Hasina Wajid decided to allow commercial screening of 10 international films in the country.
After which the action packed star cast spy thriller film ‘Pathan’ was released in 48 theaters in Bangladesh where about 200 shows will be played daily.
The film’s local distributor, Action Cut Entertainment, said that despite being available on digital platforms, all the tickets for the first two days of the film’s shows were sold out before the release.
Shah Rukh Khan fans in Bangladesh are overjoyed with the release of their favorite actor’s blockbuster film in their local cinemas.
It should be noted that the film ‘Pathan’ directed by Siddharth Anand has made a record business of more than 1000 crore Indian rupees at the box office.
Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham are seen playing the lead roles in this film produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
