The European Union has announced on February 24, the one-year anniversary of the Ukraine war, to impose more sanctions against Russia.
The head of the European Commission, who is on a visit to Ukraine, while addressing a joint press conference with the Ukrainian president, said that the Russians will set an additional limit on the prices of petroleum products.
European Commission chief Ursula van der Leyen said she was pleased to see that Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies were vigilant and effective in detecting corruption cases.
He also praised Ukraine’s efforts to crack down on corruption in the wake of several public investigations and high-profile dismissals linked to embezzlement.
Russia is losing 160 million euros a day due to the pre-imposed cap on oil prices, which will be the 10th package of EU sanctions against Russia.
