In the Karnataka election, the Congress completed the numbers game to form the government by gaining a clear lead. After the results, there were slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.
According to Indian media, in the state assembly election of Karnataka, the Congress won 135 seats in the 224-seat assembly and secured a simple majority to form the provincial government, while the BJP won only 66 seats.
Any party needs 113 seats under a simple majority to become the Chief Minister of Karnataka and according to the results, the Congress will be the next Chief Minister.
With the Congress victory, slogans of Pakistan Zindabad rang out and unidentified people raised pro-Pakistan slogans outside the counting center in Bhatkal, Karnataka.
Indian media say that those who raised slogans in favor of Pakistan were allegedly Congress supporters. In this regard, a video also went viral, after which Hindutva organizations have protested fiercely, while the police have registered an FIR against unknown persons.
It should be noted that in India, where the BJP leadership is busy preparing to win the Lok Sabha elections for the third time, the defeat in Karnataka has jeopardized its desire to win power.
