Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has decided to take action against illegal constructions in Karachi.
According to Director General Sindh Building Control Authority Muhammad Yasin Sher Baloch, he has issued instructions to the officers and said that strict action should be taken against those who build portions and additional floors in multi-storied buildings and panel hospitals.
Yasin Sher Baloch said that construction and sale of commercial flats on residential plots is illegal under Sindh Building Ordinance 1979.82 Clause (1) 19, strict action will be taken against those involved.
He said that investing citizens should know that transactions between contractors, brokers and buyers in this regard are illegal. Disciplinary action will be taken against those involved in issuing illegal sub-leases.
Director General SBCA said that under the Sindh Building Ordinance 1979.82, those involved in non-construction will be imprisoned for 3 years and fined 50 thousand rupees.
