The British media has claimed that the riots in Leicester were instigated by the Hindu extremist party of Indian Prime Minister Modi.
According to the newspaper ‘Mail on Sunday’, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) incited people to violence in Leicester through WhatsApp groups.
The newspaper called the move a “serious example” of social media interference in the UK.
It should be noted that riots broke out in Leicester after the India-Pakistan match on August 28 last year, where houses and places of worship were attacked.
