Karachi: 3 children including 2 young brothers drowned while bathing in Sarjani Town river.
According to the details, 3 young children drowned while bathing in the river near Lyari Office, Sector 36, Khuda Ki Basti, Sarjani Town area. As soon as the information was received, the police and the Edhi Marine Services team reached the spot and started the rescue operation.
After an hour’s struggle, the divers of the Edhi Marine team retrieved the bodies of the 3 children from the river and transferred them to Abbasi Hospital through ambulances.
The children have been identified as 6-year-old Sameer son of Aslam, 10-year-old Sanaul Aslam and Abdul Jabbar. Police said that the eyewitness said that 3 children were bathing on the bank of the river. According to the police, the three bodies were handed over to the family members after legal action.
