CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani has said that 76 people have been arrested so far in the GHQ attack, 17 cases have been registered. 26 suspects of the GHQ attack were presented to the media.

CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani while holding a press conference along with senior police officers said that a total of 264 people have been arrested.

He said that during the protests, the entry and exit routes of Rawalpindi remained open, the biggest problem during the violent protests was at the GHQ gate, the GHQ gate was broken and there was arson.

Khalid Hamdani says that the arrested persons were identified through a thorough investigation process, all our evidences are admissible in court, the estimated loss of Rs 80 crores during the protests.

CPO Rawalpindi said that the investigation process is going on, SSP Investigation is heading the investigation team, two of our DSPs and one SHO are injured, 20 police vehicles have been damaged.

He says that the police will take action against the people involved after fulfilling all the legal requirements. The process of arresting the leaders or workers named in the cases registered by the police is going on. Continuing its work.

During the press conference, Khalid Hamdani said that the leadership of PTI named in the cases will also be arrested.

On the other hand, Islamabad Police said that government property worth Rs 25 crore was damaged during the violent protests, protesters burnt 12 vehicles and 34 motorcycles, including the SP Industrial Area office.

Islamabad Police spokesperson says that armed protestors attacked Tarnool, Sangjani and Ramna police stations, 11 FC personnel and 71 police officers were injured in the violent protests.

The spokesman said that 26 cases have been registered against the miscreants, Islamabad police have detained 564 people involved in violent activities, more arrests are being made.
