Riyadh: A female YouTuber was arrested for violating social media laws in Saudi Arabia.
According to Arab media, Saudi Arabia’s audio-visual media agency has arrested a female YouTuber on the charge of spreading false information against Amr-e-Maruf wa Nahi-in-ul-Mankar organization. The case of the female YouTuber has been sent to the public prosecution.
Officials say that the female YouTuber spread misleading information against the Amr-e-Maruf institution, which caused public reaction and also questioned the values and principles of the society. What the woman did is a violation of social media protocol.
The female YouTuber was summoned and her statement was taken and she was handed over to the public prosecution for legal action after being found guilty of violating social media laws.
