The recently released film The Kerala Story has been a source of controversy so far due to the film’s distortion of the identity of Muslims and Islam by cloaking it in false history. The film depicts thousands of girls who went missing from Kerala and later joined the terrorist organization ISIS.
2) Kashmir files
The film also presented fabricated events as part of history, portraying Muslims as extreme and violent. The film shows that the Muslims expelled the Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir.
3) Pathans
The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer film ran into controversy after Hindu extremists deemed Deepika Padukone’s saffron semi-dress in the film ‘desecration’ of the sacred color of Hinduism. On which nationwide protests took place.
4) Padmavat
The film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles, however, the film was controversial for its portrayal of historical figures of India.
5) The Dirty Picture
The Dirty Picture came under fire for its profanity-laced posters and promotional material.
6) Flying Punjab
Shahid Kapoor was seen playing the lead role in this film. The film portrays Punjab in a wrong light and encourages drug use.
7) Ram Leela
Ram Leela ran into controversies for hurting the sentiments of citizens. The film contained sexual exploitation, violence and obscenity.
8) Oh My God
A lot of objections were raised on this film by Indian politicians who said that anti-Hindu prejudice has been promoted in the film.
9) Boom
The film faced controversy for promoting sensuality and erotic content.

This film also promoted mere sexual promiscuity, due to which many criticisms were made by the public.
