Quetta: After the violent protests in Balochistan, the police arrested four workers including the district president of PTI, Ashraf Nasir, while raiding the house of former Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri and detaining his brother.
According to sources, the police raided Qasim Suri’s house in Quetta and detained his brother Bilal Suri in the absence of the PTI leader.
Apart from this, the police in Dhaka arrested four PTI workers including district president Ashraf Nasir while cracking down. According to the police, a case was registered against the arrested persons yesterday.
SP Daki Saboor Agha said that raids are being conducted to arrest other PTI workers.
On the other hand, Provincial Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Longo has said that he has ordered an investigation into the violent incident that occurred in front of Askari Park yesterday. Some suspicious people also came forward during the protest yesterday.
He said that all the conditions in Balochistan including Quetta are normal, traffic is flowing on all highways connecting Balochistan with other provinces of the country. He said that the writ of the state will not be challenged under any circumstances.
Meanwhile, on the call of PTI, a complete shutter down and wheel jam strike took place in Dikki area of Balochistan while the workers blocked the roads with barricades due to which the flow of traffic was affected.
Apart from this, against the arrest of Imran Khan in Chagai, PTI workers protested on the Pakistan-Iran International Highway and blocked the traffic by burning torches. Later, the PTI workers dispersed on their own.
